Old French Stone House Restored - Stone Works - Lee Lindsey

Just before I started working on this project the roof collapsed and a section of wall 6 feet high and about 50 feet long fell to the ground. Fortuniatly I had just walked around the corner to get water!
Before: This is the way another contractor left this project! The Carthage Limestone steps and terra cotta balustrade are in need of repair.
After: After setting new limestone steps on a concrete foundation we restored all of the terracotta balustrade. Lee Lindsey Stone Works, St. Louis, MO

The broken pieces were reasembled, the spalled finish was cut back and a new surface was applied.

After the stone was dismantled new foundations were installed.

This is a before photo of the front porch and walk between the steps. Whatever was there originally had been replaced with concrete porbably in the 70's or 80's.

The old concrete porch was replaced with new concrete and finished with cast stone.

Terracotta Column Restoration - Stone Works - Lee Lindsey
The steel support in this terracotta column rusted at the base, the expansion from the rust caused the terracotta to break. The upper part of the column was supported while the lower part was removed for repair. The steel support was repaired then the repaired column was reassembled.
